Orangery Extension to Family Home
The project brief was to design a new garden room that complimented the historic property to replace a dilapidated lean-to conservatory. We knocked through into the house and constructed a traditionally designed painted timber orangery with glazing facing the panoramic vistas using new handmade painted hardwood windows. We also added a vaulted roof to maximise the internal feeling of space, using black steel straps, exposed glulam beams, painted tongue & groove internal boarding and external zinc to imitate traditional lead roofing.

Contemporary Extension and Loft conversion
This Victorian Salisbury home had quite generous but dark rooms and a dated kitchen with UPVC conservatory. To add more floor space and open up the floor plan, and also to adapt the space for a disabled user the ground floor rooms were joined and a large modern Kitchen extension added, with stone patio area externally all with level access throughout. Careful use of highlight colours, island, high ceilings, bespoke flat rooflights and large format panoramic slim framed black aluminium sliding doors make a contemporary and spacious feeling family Kitchen and the open plan nature of the design makes the space much lighter and family friendly. Added tall storage was another key element, and added Utility using the old Kitchen allows noisy appliances to be hidden away. The general refurbishment of the property, space saving loft stair and loft conversion with the addition of a large dormer add views to the Cathedral and a large attic bedroom / home office. The property has been transformed into an impressive modern family home.

Contemporary Extension
The brief was to reorganise this single storey home to make better use of the garden views and create a modern, open and light open plan Kitchen, Utility, Dining and Garden Room. Two sets of double doors with sidelights, external decking, vaulted lantern rooflights and bold colour highlights all add to making this modest single storey flat roof extension feel light, open, functional and enjoyable.

Traditional Brick & Flint Wiltshire Family Home
This project involved the conversion of the garage adjacent to the house and link building to adjoin the house, constructed from matching traditional brick and flint. A joining pitched roof in matching slate was also added. This gave the family home a much needed additional home office and large garden-facing snug with loft storage over. This project made use of an existing outbuilding, attractive garden views and formed a new access from the existing driveway.

Guest accommodation
A conversion of an existing garage and a new build to create guest accommodation with en-suite bedroom and living space facilities. The scheme involved cladding both blocks in Cedar with a pitch tiled roof which was expressed internally to increase the spatial volume. Between the two guest blocks are exposed timber trusses unite the two blocks while forming an external semi- sheltered space beneath for guests to use in the summer months. This project involved Internal reconfigurations of the existing house.

Extension to Traditional Cotswolds Home
The brief was to design a 2 storey extension to this family home and re-order and refurbish internally to make better use of the space. We added a spacious light new kitchen and utility area downstairs and an extra bathroom upstairs, removing internal division, vaulting and exposing the traditional timber roof structure to transform what were previously small box rooms. The result was an open and spacious home with bespoke detailing thanks to a particularly innovative contractor. The adjacent flat roof garage was also redesigned to a pitched roof to add a home office and incorporate new solar panel array on the newly formed slate roof.

Contemporary New Build
The brief was to design a contemporary modern new build detached rural home to replace an aged bungalow on a beautiful site in the Wiltshire countryside. The angular design maximised passive solar gain, experiments with traditional material used in different ways and utilises vaulted internal spaces to bring light into the centre of the building and its circulation spaces, playing with key views around with site to give each room a distinctly unique feel.
